The PA is looking for volunteers for the following areas. Please email 22k134pa@schools.nyc.gov if you are interested or fill in our Volunteer Form.

• Translators
  Are you available to translate PA newsletters / surveys from English into another language? Or can you provide translation during some of our monthly PA General Membership meetings?
  
  
• Holiday Shop Committee
  Running for 3 days in mid-Decmeber, our annual Holiday Shop is the PA's biggest event of the year! Parent volunteers are needed to decorate and set up the space in the library, and assist with running the shop and helping kids pick out gifts for their loved ones.
  
  
• Bake Sales
  The PTA has Bake Sales several times a year and needs volunteers to help organize these events so that kids have a chance to buy their favorite snack or treat during the school day.
  
  
• School Yard & Facilities committee
  Collect petition signatures, reach out to DOE and local representatives, and prepare documentation to make our case for improvements to the school courtyard and other facilities.
  
  
• Legal committee
  The PTA recently became a tax-exempt charitable organization with 501(c)(3) status. This makes all donations to the PTA tax-deductible and make us eligible for additional funding sources. If you have experience with any legal matters involving 501(c)(3) organizations, your expertise will be much welcomed by the Executive Board!
  
  
• PTA Website
  Help with website maintenance and design, or develop additional content to enhance the website. Even if you have no technical skills, anyone with ideas on how to improve the website is urged to join our Website Committee!
  
  
• Community Engagement
  Help us come up with ideas for community-building events and activities. In the past, we've held Meet & Greets and a Family Movie Night at Kent Theater. How can the PA best reach all the parents and make them feel engaged/involved?
  
  
• Fundraising
  Come up with additional fundraising ideas that adhere to DOE rules and PA by-laws.
  
  
• Work on something else!
